Welcome to the Child Development Lab!

In the Child Development Lab we study young children in order to understand the origins of human cognition. Our research uses methods from cognitive development to investigate the building blocks of cognition. In particular, we are interested in how and when children start remembering past events and plan and imagine future ones. Studies in the lab focus on how young children understand what the “past”, the “present” and the “future” entail and how their understanding of time affects their decision-making process. The publication page will give you more information on the type of studies we do.

If you have a child between 3- and 5-years-old and you are looking for something fun to do while at home, check out the online studies and participate!
